I am very interested in ways that blogging could be used as a tool for enhancing education. I would love to get feedback from others on possible ways they have seen it used or have used it with students/in their classrooms?
I haven't as of yet used blogging for a class. My interest is in journaling - allowing the students to look at what they have learned throughout my class. I am doing something similar with my spiritual growth and it's something I think that can be adapted to the classroom.
I use blogging in one of my classes (that I am taking) in the same way as Deb. To journal my growth throughout the semester, year or over the course of my program.
I use blogging in my first class that I am teaching because I am teaching first level of American Sign Language. I was trying to post issues that we (deaf) people faces every day and inform them to discuss of how to solve problems or their feelings if they were approached with this. It is part of deaf culture and hearing culture to compare the differences and how to deal with it.
I love the idea of using blogs in the art room. I read an article not too long ago about students that photograph all their artwork, post in on a blog, write artist statements, and then critique each other using comments...I absolutely love, love, love this idea.
I'm a wife, stay at home mom of 6 kids, homeschooler, foster and adoptive parent, lover of coffee, books, board games, pinterest, online shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

I don't know how to use blogging to teach, but I think it's a good way to allow people to follow your progress.

Blogging can be used to help facilitate open dialogue among students.
